Intermediate Lines

Knots and linked lines coagulate into three-dimensional objects, into sculptures, into photographs. Societal, cultural and social structures gain poetic arrangements in this coagulation. It is never mentioned directly, no tangible resonance is sought but indeed, for example, today’s situation for the artist between Stuttgart and Cairo is contained therein; the air streams, the wind’s movements, the many languages and sounds, and somewhere in the midst of all this, the artistic language finds its reverberation. Sensory experience is captured in seismological terms, the individual body of the artist equally included, very radically, and directly sub-classified to a particular concept which impresses with its clarity and simplicity.(Marianne Eigenheer)
