In the video installation, the video Scent of Life is integrated in front of a fluffy white carpet between two tall areca palms. Painting rounds off the installation on another level.
The video “Scent of Life” links two levels and cultural habitats. I filmed a maple tree during the different seasons in Stuttgart. By superimposing still images of the gardens of the street and young people from Cairo, I refer to this other cultural space where the gardens of the street are cultivated. The viewer has to let their own take a look and find the power behind the scent of life.(BA)
